The first topic in the course is
the active and passive voice; these are used to represent the same idea but
changing the focus between the responsible for an action and the result or the
action. If we want to emphasize the action we have to use the passive voice,
and this is formed with the verb “to be” in the same time form of the sentence
(present, past or future) and adding the participle.
But, if we want
to emphasize the responsible or the subject, we use the active voice, and the
structure is; the subject + the verb + the complements.
